Hearts To You

I've made a very clean and simple card to share today, with no patterned paper and very minimal embellishing

I used a new stamp from CC Designs called Hearts to You.  She is so sweet.
And I used my Copics to make a background scene for her.

I haven't done a sky like this before and I was happy with how it turned out.
I just coloured a background with B0000 and then used my blender pen to create random little cloud shapes in it. I then used B00 to add darkness under the clouds and around the girl.

Ingredients :
Stamps : Hearts to You
Card : x-press it, grey, slate
Ink : memento black
Other : MAC#12 die, copics

Copics used :

YG 0000, 01, 03, 97
G 24
BV 0000, 000, 00, 02, 08, 13
RV 21, 23, 25
B 0000, 00, 93, 95, 97
Y 21
W 00
E 000, 00, 21, 50, 53
R 30

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges :

I had so much fun colouring this girl and creating the scene for her :)

Valentine Cupcake

I have another adorable stamp from CC Designs to share with you today.
This is Valentine Cupcake.  But you can obviously use the stamp for so much more than Valentine cards.
I decided to add to the hearts on her dress with a couple more.

And she is just SO sweet! :)

Balloon Heart

I have another cutie to share with you from the latest release by CC Designs.

This is Balloon Heart and I LOVE her!!!  Isn't she adorable?!

She would be great for a Valentine card but I decided to make a Birthday card with her instead :)
The "Happy Birthday" is from the Birthday Wishes Sentiments set.  I embossed it with white and just cut these two words out to use.

It was so much fun colouring her!  I decided to use purples and greys and then teamed them with some blue on the card.  I really love this colour combo and decided to maybe splurge and buy some papers in these colours.  I looked online for a while and came up with nothing! (except a cute one for xmas). Why don't manufacturers like these colours?  Perhaps I'm unusual in liking them?
Anyway if you know of any papers in these colours please let me know.  I'd love to use them more often :)

Ingredients :

Stamps : Balloon Heart, Birthday Wishes Sentiments
Card : x-press it, grey, soft sky
Ink : memento black, versamark, white
Other : layering tags die, snowy day enamel dots,  Tilda Lace Die, white ep, embossing folder SU, copics

Copics used :

V 12, 15, 17
RV 0000
R 30
E 000, 00, 21
W 00, 1, 3, 5, 7

I'd like to enter my card in the following challenges :

Deep Ocean Challenge : anything new
Word Art Wednesday : anything goes
Craft Calendar Challenge : something new
Ribbon Girl: any image

Thanks so much for dropping by today :)

Petunia and Penny Take a Break

I've had a little break from crafting over the holidays, but now I'm ready to create again :)

My first card in 2017 is for a great challenge site called Words 2 Craft By.
I have entered their challenges a few times now and I was lucky enough to win one, which was great, and it also meant that I got to be a Guest Designer for them :)

Their challenge focuses on a saying or quote.
This one is from Glen Ballard and Siedah Garrett :

If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself, and then make a change

I decided to use this gorgeous stamp called Petunia and Penny Take a Break from Stamping Bella.
These two are SO adorable and they?!

My card is a reminder to Relax and "smell the roses", to be mindful and fully present in each moment.
And to not be so hard on ourselves when we are going through so many changes in our lives and things don't always go as planned.

Card : x-press it, grey, wisteria, Rustic Elegance (CB)
Ink : memento black, white, versamark
Other : Whimsy Double Scallop Doily Die, white ep, stripe ef, circle die, copics

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!!

I have a tradition of looking at the cards I've made over the past year and choosing some favourites to highlight in a New Year's post.
It's a great thing to do and I was especially glad I did it again this year because I realised that I hadn't blogged this card.
I made it for my daughter's birthday, she loves a good pun and she loved the card.
I didn't put it on my blog when I made it so that she wouldn't see it before I gave it to her and she would get a nice surprise. But then I forgot to blog it at all!
I think it's actually my favourite of all the cards I've made this year.
It features the CC Designs Under the Sea set.

It was hard to choose favourites but I have chosen one from each month of 2016.
