Ready For The Rain

I had some time to do some crafting today and I decided to use this super-cute new stamp from CC Designs called Ready For The Rain.  She is SO sweet!

I had fun colouring her and then found a great sketch at Sketch Saturday to use too.  I used the By DIEzyne  rectangles die to create the panels and just trimmed them to a narrower size.  So there is cute "stitching" around the outside of the card.

Ingredients :

Stamps : Ready for the rain, valentine sentiments
Card : x-press it, grey, blushing bride, slate
Ink : memento black, antique linen distress ink
Other : stitched and pierced rectangles die (BD), copics

Copics used :
E 000, 00, 21, 33, 35, 53
W 00, 1
BG 000, 10, 11
R 20, 24, 30

Up Up and Away

There is a new release of Doodle Dragon stamps at CC Designs this month :)
There are so many cute images to choose from and a big plus is that they are great for boy/guy/mens cards.  Most of them can be used for girls too, but I needed to make a card for my son and I thought this image called Up Up and Away would be perfect :)

I coloured him with copics and cut him and the clouds out and glued to blue paper from the Capture Life (EP) pad. I then went around them with grey copics to give a shadow and make them "pop" more.

Ingredients :
Stamps : Up Up and Away, HB2U Sentiments
Card : x-press it, black, grey, Capture Life (EP)
Ink : memento black
Other : black leather thonging , library clip, pierced tickets dies (ByDIEzyne), copics

Copics used :
W 0, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9
R 20, 24, 27, 29

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Southern Girls - Animal Crackers
Ribbon Girl - Everything Goes with an image

Thanks for dropping by today :)

Bloom

Well it's time for another challenge over at Bunny Zoe's Crafts and this month the challenge is Buttons and Bows.

As you might have worked out by now, I'm not much of a Buttons and Bows kind of person actually.  (Although I do like to use buttons on cards quite a bit).  So I've only used 1 button and my bow is made using some twine, there's nothing frilly and fussy about this card.  I've stayed with clean and simple but have still managed the brief (pretty much).  :)

I used a CC Designs Pollycraft stamp called Bloom.  She's very cute isn't she!?  And this sentiment by High Hopes called Dropping a Line is simply perfect to use with her.

The papers are from the Glitz - Love you Madly pad. And I used a pink button.

Ingredients :

Stamps : Bloom - CC Designs, Dropping a Line - High Hopes
Card : x-press it, black, crumb cake, sky,  Love you Madly - Glitz
Ink : memento black, antique linen distress ink
Other : pink button, hemp twine, Stitched zig zag die (La la land), Copics

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges :

Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Sugarpea Designs - anything goes
Whimsy Stamps - Colour an image
Kraftin'Kimmie - anything goes
Your Next Stamp - Colour challenge

Little Cloudy

It's release time at CC Designs and these are 4 of the new lil' cuties :)

I decided to use Little Cloudy, she is so gorgeous!  But they all are aren't they!? :)

I used some beautiful Oxford Lane paper from My Minds Eye. Even the wonderful sentiment is from this pad!  I did some paper piecing of her jacket and I was happy with how it turned out.  I also used tiny black pearls for the buttons to give it more dimension.
I even got my sewing machine out again for this one, it's been quite a while since I've sewn on a card but it adds such a coziness to it :)

I used the matching die to cut her out and the little raindrops come with the die - cute!

Ingredients :
Stamps : Little Cloudy
Card : x-press it, grey, sky, Oxford Lane (MME)
Ink : memento black
Other : Little Cloudy Die, black pearls, copics

Copics Used :
E 000, 00, 21, 31, 33, 35
W1
C1
BG 0000, 000, 09, 10, 11, 15, 72

R 20, 30

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges :
