Layla Kisses

We're reviewing the new Roberto's stamps on the CC Designs Blog today.
And I love this image called Kisses so much that I decided to use it again :)

It just looks so much like my Granddaughter Layla and my cat Indie that I thought I might colour it again and put it in a shadowbox frame for her.  I think it will make a lovely Christmas decoration for her room.  She could bring it out each year and perhaps add things to it too by placing little ornaments she makes, photos or wish lists inside.

I decided to use the CC Designs Mini Alpha and Numbers Die to add her name to the image and it looks pretty cute, I'm lucky she has such a symmetrical name :)
The bells and Christmas tree are just store bought decorations but I wanted to put something else handmade by me inside.  So I also diecut some stars from felt and used some metallic gold embroidery thread to sew a little padded star.  I'm not the best needlewoman but it looks pretty and hopefully she'll know it was made by her Grandma with lots of love :)

It's wonderful to be able to use stamps to make beautiful handmade gifts as well as cards isn't it? :)

Stamps : Kisses
Card : x-press it, brushed gold

Mouse With Poinsettia

It's time for another challenge at Bunny Zoe's Crafts and this month the theme is Animals.  I got to choose the theme this time and I decided on it because I love cute animal stamps, especially for Christmas cards!  An animal doesn't have to be the main feature of the card, but one does have to be on there somewhere :)

I decided to use this super cute stamp from Wild Rose Studio called Mouse With Poinsettia.

The pretty paper is from a Wild Rose Studio pack called Frosted Lace.  There are none of your typical red and green papers in this pack, but instead, pretty pinks and blues.  So I decided to colour a pink poinsettia to match.  The ornament dies are from Wild Rose Studio too!  I just cut these two off the Row of Baubles die, glued some vellum on the back and coloured the vellum from behind.  It is a gorgeous die and very versatile as you can use them individually like I did, or as they come in a row.

I also used a new sentiment stamp from CC Designs.  It's from a fun set called Snarky Christmas and it's available to pre-order now.  I also used a pink button and some white web ribbon.

Ingredients :
Stamps : Mouse With PoinsettiaSnarky Christmas
Card ; x-press it, baja, Frosted Lace
Ink : memento black
Other : Row of Baubles die,  pink buttonwhite web ribbon, copics

Kisses

It's Day 2 of the sneak peek at the new releases at CC Designs.
Today the Design Team are showcasing images by Roberto's.
When I first saw this stamp I actually did a little squeal of delight!  Actually it was probably quite a big squeal! :)
It's called Kisses and this little girl is just so much like my Granddaughter Layla.  And it is exactly how our cat Indie looks when he's trying to cope with her cuddles and kisses too!
I just love this image SO MUCH!
