Birthday Cake Lucy

Hi,

I have some exciting news to share.  I am now a member of the CC Designs team :)  Yay!!!
I have loved CC Designs for a long time now and it's so wonderful to be a part of their team.
I've had lots of fun colouring and making cards with the new CC Designs April release.  All the stamps are so cute! They will be available to purchase from the CC Designs store on the 3rd of April.

For my first card I used a new  CC Designs stamp called Birthday Cake Lucy.  Isn't she gorgeous! The sentiment is also from a new set called Great Birthday Greetings.  It's full of wonderful Birthday sentiments and most of them are big enough to be a real focal point of the card.  I love them all, but I think this saying will definitely be used a lot :)

birthday cake lucy, cc designs, great birthday greetings

Ingredients :

Card : x-press it, black, crumb cake, Vintage Summer (Little yellow bicycle)
Ink : memento black, antique linen distress ink

I actually cut the cake out to and attached it with foam to give it more dimension. And if you haven't seen one before, the card is called a Tent Topper card. It's my first one - Super easy, but just a bit different :) There is a Splitcoast Stampers tutorial here if you'd like to try one too.

If you'd like to see what the rest of the design team created with one of their new CC Designs stamps please visit the Blog.
And please drop by again tomorrow to see another card I've made using a new CC Designs release.

Pig

It was my eldest daughter's birthday yesterday and this was my card for her. She reads my blog and even Pins some of my cards, so I knew I couldn't do this post until today :)
She has been a real pig lover ever since she was a little girl. She loves all animals - but especially pigs!
So I was so excited when I saw the new Bildmalarna release at Bunny Zoe's Crafts!
A cute Pig stamp and the girl looks just like my girl did when she was little too :)

Pig Bildmalarna, garden flowers die

The sentiment is from a Whimsy set called Everyday Moments.
The paper is from a beautiful pad by Teresa Collins called Summer Stories, but it looks as though Nikki has just sold out of it.  There is a great paper sale on now at Bunny Zoe's Crafts and there are still a lot of gorgeous papers to be had at a great price.  You can check them out Here.

I used a brand new Whimsy Die called Garden Flowers for the first time.  It's a great die with a few different flowers but I just thought these blue bells would look nice with the image.
I also used the Magnolia Tilda Lace Die.

I sponged the edges with Antique Linen distress ink and used a little Star Dust Stickles on her wings.  I also added some flat backed pearls and a Ladies Club button.

Ingredients :
Stamps : Pig (Bildmalarna), Everyday Moments (Whimsy)
Card : x-press it, crumb cake, Summer Stories pad
Ink : memento black, Antique Linen distress ink

For my Release Day card I decided to use this gorgeous stamp by Cathy Delanssay called Fairy On The Tree.  She's really beautiful isn't she?!! I also used a new Whimsy sentiment set by Simonne Clay called Girl Talk.  It's a fabulous set of fun sayings to use with "girly" images.  I decided to colour her with my copics in what I think are sugar and spice colours and coloured the "nice" sentiment to match :)  She was lots of fun to colour!

I hope you'll take part in the Hops and please leave a comment on my blog.  I love reading them and you may also be lucky enough to win a great prize :)

Yuki

I have a card for Bunny Zoe's Crafts to share with you today.
I've used a Saturated Canary stamp called Yuki.  And she's so beautiful isn't she! I especially love her eyes.
It's the first time I've used a Saturated Canary stamp and I absolutely loved colouring her.
I decided to use some paper from the My Minds Eye - Cambridge Court pad and coloured her with copics to match.

Yuki, Saturated Canary

The sentiment is from the Everyday Moments set by Whimsy Stamps.
I used the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die to make some little roses and the leaves are from the Whimsy Vines die.  I used antique linen distress ink on all edges.
I also used some dark pink raffia lace behind the image. It wasn't quite the right colour though (too bright), so I swiped it with a white ink pad and it worked out perfectly :)  I will have to use this trick with the raffia lace again.

Ingredients :
Stamps : Yuki  Saturated CanaryEveryday Moments Whimsy
Card : black, craft, pink pirouette, blushing bride, x-press it, My Minds Eye - Cambridge Court
Ink : memento black, antique linen distress ink

I also used the wonderful new Whimsy sentiment set called Everyday Moments.  I knew I would use this set a lot, there are so many useful sayings in it and in really nice fonts too.

Ingredients :
Stamps :  Bunny's BirthdayEveryday Moments
Card : x-press it, crumb cake, choc chip, paper (old SU)
Ink : memento black, choc chip, crumb cake

Penny's Dandelion Shower

I have a card for Bunny Zoe's Crafts to show you today.  I used a really adorable CandiBean stamp called Penny's Dandelion Shower . It is so sweet isn't it?!
When I got to choose one of these new CandiBean stamps to use, I  was wondering if I'd made the right decision.  There were just so many cute ones to choose from!  But now that I've used it, I know I made the right choice for me because I really love it!  :)

CandiBean, Penny's dandelion shower

I used the Whimsy sentiment set Magical Mini Letter Seals and the Whimsy Double Scallop Doily Die.
I sponged a cloudy sky behind her and coloured her with my copics.
I also used lots of star dust stickles  (It's a lot more sparkly looking in real life) and a Prima Sun Kiss button.
The paper is from a pad by My Minds Eye called Oxford Lane.

I very rarely use yellow on my cards, it's just not one of my favourite colours.  But I love how this turned out. It has inspired me to use it more often :)
